I was born in San Antonio, Texas and lived between there and Austin until I went to graduate school at the University of New Mexico. For my undergraduate degree I went to Texas State University to get a B.S. in Computer Science with a minor in Mathematics. Texas State is located in San Marcos, Texas which is probably my favorite city in the U.S. It's small, has a natural spring that flows through campus and there's lots of stuff to do around Austin and San Antonio (both 40 minutes away). While in San Marcos I played for the Unicychos in the Unicycle Football League. Right before moving to Albuquerque, I married my high-school sweet heart Haley. We live with our two dogs Otto and Chloe.

My previous work: quality assurance of video encoding software, research assistant, teaching assistant, tech. support, and an internship with Sun.

I enjoy traveling (see photo albums), swimming, cycling, and hiking. I am an Eagle Scout and have a love of the outdoors and nature in general. I like to cook and experiment and you can find a few recipes on the wiki if you look hard enough. As for being lazy I am a pretty big movie buff and enjoy playing the occasional video game as time allows (Civilization, Starcraft, Gran Turismo, CoD, Halo and various RPG's).
